2020 Fort Mill STEAM Camp

It’s BACK!

We are excited to announce Fort Mill’s premiere, full day, STEAM summer camps for children ages 5-12 years old, facilitated at Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool. Our environment is a huge part of what makes our program so special.

We have an onsite micro farm–complete with chickens and mini horses, a forest to explore, and an outdoor art studio. Creating and collaborating in this environment along with field trips and special guests is what makes our camp a standout.

On average, children spend three hours each day working on a variety of projects and experiments in learning lab. The rest of our days are spent in exploration and collaboration either with special guests or on field trips.

What is STEAM? Glad you asked. STEAM in an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math. These five core subjects are at the heart of our summer camp curriculum and helps prevent summer learning loss. STEAM curriculum has been proven to spark an interest in science and create career interest at a young age. In a low pressure setting children soar as they use math and creative skills to engineer science projects with the aid of technology.
